Severe Weather Delays/Tropical Cyclone Alfred - March 2025
Important Update: Potential Shipping Delays Due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred
March 4, 2025
As we are based solely in Brisbane, Queensland, we want to keep our customers informed about potential disruptions to order dispatch and consignment transit times as Tropical Cyclone Alfred approaches. This page will contain daily updates on any changes to our dispatch times and any potential transit delays we are advised of. Please see below for the latest updates.
Postal and Logistics Services in South East Queensland will be suspended on Thursday the 6th of March, Friday the 7th of March and Monday the 10th of March. Order dispatch will be unavailable during this time.
What to Expect
Potential severe weather conditions currently forecasted to be associated with the cyclone may impact:
Order Dispatch – Warehouse operations may experience temporary delays or suspensions. This could be due to safety precautions for our staff, their ability to travel safely to and from the warehouse, and potential supply chain disruptions or service suspensions.
Freight & Delivery – Our shipping partners may be affected by road closures, airport closures, rail disruptions, distribution centre shutdowns, flooding, and other adverse weather conditions, leading to extended delivery times. Since all our consignments are dispatched from our Brisbane, QLD warehouse, we expect delays across all consignments and delivery partners, as transit services leaving Southeast Queensland (SEQ) are likely to be impacted.
Affected Regions
While the full impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred is still unfolding, early forecasts suggest that heavy rainfall, strong winds, and possible infrastructure disruptions could affect many SEQ transport and distribution services. As our operations rely solely on SEQ-based services, disruptions in the region could affect all consignments across all logistics partners.
What We're Doing
Our team is actively monitoring the situation and working closely with shipping providers to stay informed about potential delays. We remain committed to processing and dispatching orders as efficiently as conditions allow.
Stay Updated
We will continue to provide daily updates below as more information becomes available. If you have any questions about an existing order, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team. We have set up an offsite customer support service in case warehouse operations are suspended, ensuring we can still assist you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Stay safe, and we’ll keep you informed as the situation develops.
